Anime Review: Excel Saga

Excel Saga Warning: This series will change the way you look at comedy FOREVER! SooooÖ.. shall we start? Immediately when you start episode one, you will see that it is going to be a wacky anime. The show starts outÖ with deathÖ The End.

Or is it? And, who is Illapalazo? This is wacky. The whole series has one plot Ö. Conquer the city for ACROSS, the group Excel is in with her crush, Illapalazo. SoÖ who are Excel and the other characters? Name: Excel Excel (yes, just like Mario Mario). She is the lead girl in the series, and always fails her master. Eating is one of her favorite things. She is always looking for money to buy food. Name: Menchi = A type of food. Bio: Found by Excel, is often referred to as ìemergency foodî. Menchi is an adventurous dog who, if let out of the door, will run free. He is always searching for his first owner, whom he loved. Name: UmmmÖ you can see it there. Bio: Leader of Across in Japan. He thinks Excel is annoying, and usually sends her down giant holes filled with water. Name: Hyatt, or Hachan by Excel. Bio: She is the Puchuu princess, but after her accident on the spaceship, she has full amnesia. Now, she works for across. Her specialty is fainting.

There is a whole cast of more characters, to perverts, to protectors, to aliens, to sandora the cute little Spanish child.

Music ñ This series has music set to different tones for each character. It is live music, and it is appropriate, except when stuff buds in.

Storyline ñ The storyline is changed, one day it might have no ìdisgusting boysî, or one day it might be US animation. It all revolves around the same plot of conquering, much like Final Fantasy revolves around the same plot. Mainly, the whole show is to entertain.

Animation ñ The animation is used by digitized pixels, as reported in episode 17 ñ (the us episode). In all Iíll give the series a 9 out of 10. You should definitely check this out.
