Review Omishi magical theater Risky Safety Written by Warpshadow rating good/ very good

Anime nation is a new to the anime licensing business and Omishi magical theater Risky Safety is their first show. Fortunately for a rookie company they do a good job and the show they chose isn't half bad either.

Moe Katsuragi is very sad after having a fight with her boyfriend Yuya. She is in fact so depressed that she unwittingly draws the apprentice Shinigami (spirit of Death) Risky to come and claim her soul. Moe isn't as sad as she thought she was and when she overcomes her grief Risky turns into an apprentice angel named safety sent to make Moe happy. With Moe undecided about whether she is happy or sad her life becomes the battlefield on which Risky and Safety battle for Moe's soul.

Omishi magical theater Risky Safety is the first anime licensed by Anime Nation. As such I thought they did a very good job localizing it, especially providing the copious liner notes needed to understand all the cultural references. The episodes are only ten minutes long apiece. After the first few they do tend to blend together so the length of the episodes is not a problem. Overall Omishi magical theater Risky Safety Is a light comedy with a fair amount of cuteness. This is especially true of the second and third discs as the show like many anime shows takes a while to get it's footing.
