Ex Driver is an average but not great Oav. Like many Oavs of this type the best thing about it is that you can get six episodes for the price of one dvd.

In the not to distant future instead of driving cars like we do today people use cars that drive themselves using artificial intelligence. There is a problem however, since occasionally the car's programming will go haywire and the car becomes uncontrollable. When this happens the Ex Driver's are the people to call and they will shut the car down safely. There are two Ex drivers in the city, high school students Lisa and Lorna. One day a new driver is added to the team, a young boy by the name of Shouichi, and Lisa does not like this at all.

Ex Driver is a fairly entertaining six episode Oav. The characters are not especially interesting but they manage not to be annoying either. The main attraction to the show is the car races that populate each episode and those are done entertainingly. There is also a fair bit of comedy and the jokes are decent and don't interfere with the rest of the show. The main drawback to the series is that the premise does seem a bit farfetched. Also the villains in the last two episodes felt a bit ridiculous. I give this a half hearted recommendation, if you can rent this I suggest you do so.
