Review Inu Yasha Castle beyond the looking glass Written by Warpshadow Rating good/ very good

While many popular shows often have a spin off movie or Oav, really popular shows like Inu Yasha have more than one. Good news for fans of the series and the first movie, this one is even better than the first movie.

Everything starts out when Inu Yasha and the gang kill Naraku (you would think that would be a spoiler but they do it by the end of the opening credits). With their arch enemy defeated the group parts their separate ways. While Sango looks for her brother and Miroku goes to see his grandfather's grave a new evil stirs. Bereft of a master Kagura and Kana find a magic mirror in the woods. The mirror is actually the seal for a power being named Kaguya who plans to set up shop in Naraku's absence.

This movie much like the previous one contains just about all the stuff that fans of the show will like. Despite small signs that tell a little about the characters I still suggest that people watch the television show first. While essentially a monster of the week movie, Castle beyond the looking glass has a more intricate and solid plot than most such movies since it is able to juggle several plot threads effectively. There are a few suprises (which I won't give away) which make the movie interesting to watch.
