Review Natsuiro no Sunadokei aka Hourglass of summer Written by Warpshadow Rating good

Time travel, melodrama and sorta cute girls. That is what Natsuiro no Sunadokei is all about. While it isn't the greatest show I have seen by a long shot it isn't too bad and doesn't take up too much of your time watching it.

On the last day before summer break Kotaro swears that he will profess his love to Kaho who he has a crush on. Walking home he has an altercation with a strange woman and she accidentally breaks a hourglass on his head. When he wakes up it the first day of school, Kotaro finds out that he started dating Kaho during summer break and that she had died in an accident the day before. He also finds out that when ever he loses consciousness he travels to another day. Will he be able to use his new power to find a way to save Kaho?

Natsuiro no Sunadokei is a fairly decent adaptation of a dating sim. This show could also be categorized as a mystery but it doesn't try that hard to be one. It is short (only being two Oav length episodes) and yet it feels complete with the story it tells. The characterizations fall within the stereotypes of the genre but nothing is outrageously annoying in terms of character personalities. Overall this is a mildly satisfying Oav good for rental at most but nothing special.
