Sakura Taisen is the biggest ren ai game franchise in Japan. Part of the reason for this is that there are several games often with different characters. If you can't get your hands on the games this is your first good look at the cast of Sakura Taisen 3.

During the 1920's the city of Paris is threatened by monsters. The powers that be decide to build a Paris assault division patterned after the one created in Japan when it faced a similar problem. Erica Fontaine is a young woman with aspirations of becoming a nun but joins the Paris assault division in order to put her spirit powers to good use. She is joined by other women with special powers, including an aristocrat and a notorious criminal. Will the girls be able to fight off the monsters that plague the city of lights?

With only three episodes there isn't much time to develop characters or have much of a plot. Fortunately the writers realized this and tried something more simple. This Oav sports some nice action sequences especially those in episodes two and three. The character that receives the most screen time is the somewhat mysterious criminal Lobelia, having episode two pretty much to herself. I thought that was a good choice. There is a lot left out in the story but that made me interested in seeing more rather than annoyed. Overall I found it to be a moderately interesting Oav, worth picking up if it piques your interest.
