There are many shows that gain audiences largely on the fact they fulfill some strange fetish of the audience. In the case of this show it is faux yuri.

The last wish Mizuho Miyanokoji's grandfather was for Mizuho to attend Seiou High school. There is one problem with this, namely that Seiou is a catholic girl's school and Mizuho is a boy. That may sound like an impossible obstacle but with a very clever disguise and ssome help from his childhood friend Maria the impossible might just become possible. However if the secret gets out Mizuho will be in hot water but will this boy be able to become the perfect girl?

Although Otome wa Boku ni Koishteru has the surface premise of a boy trying to live in a female world. this lasts for about two episodes before settling into a somewhat standard ren ai game adaptation. This show shares the same main fault as many ren ai game adaptations, namely that it tries to cover more characters than the alloted time of the show allows to develop properly. The result is a mildly pleasant but generally pointless show that doesn't really even have much of an ending. In the end this is just another show that hangs on the premise that the cast is composed of cute girls and there are plenty of shows that can do that and be either funny or meaningfully dramatic to boot.
