Sometimes I wonder why I review half of the Oavs that I do. By now my crap detector is finely honed enough that I shouldn’t wander into titles such as this for reasons other than masochism. That and it’s something I can watch and review quickly.

One night while crooning about their love a comet came down next to the young Amagi couple containing a young girl. This young girl eventually grew up to be a ditzy teenager named Hikaru Amagi. Although her life was normal outside of a mad scientist father the truth was that she was a princess from a distant planet. One day Hikaru’s past catches up to her in the form of a alien usurpers who are out to claim a royal artifact and don’t care who they hurt in the process. Luckily for Hikaru said artifact is a suit of indestructible armor that gives Hikaru the power to defeat her attackers.

The idea of a teenage girl who receives super powers and fights off aliens with those powers is well tread turf when it comes to anime. While it is true that a good writer can bring originality to any concept no matter how clichéd such talented writing is simply not a part of Hyper Speed Grandoll. There is also the fact that with only three episodes from beginning to end there isn’t much room for anything besides the basics of a story. In short this the sort of disposable Oav that I write about in the hopes that that it keeps viewers from wasting their time by watching.
