Subject: Re: Guybrush Threepwood Said It Best
But if you are tickled twice, then what? Will you pursue the entire quintology?

Personally, I played the MI games in this order:
3, 4, 1, 2

After doing so, I can say that they go from best to meh as 1, 2, 3, 4. Truth is, 1 & 2 are best (but 2's ending is weird), 3 is good, 4 is... well, they dropped the simple point and click interface for a Resident Evil/Tomb Raider-esque rotate and walk system where you have to walk over to things to interact with them. Needless to say, the game was also in 3D instead of 2D which was a bad idea, and you have to be careful of a game-stopping bug near the end of the game - if you play 4, be sure to patch your game first! I would also like to mention that the third game is done in a beautiful, cartoon-like style that is just wonderful, so that one is worth checking out for the art itself.

And the monkeys. Always with the giant, stone, multiple, or three-headed monkeys.
