History
Knuckles grew up on Angel Island and at a young age was "abandoned" by his father. Being a Guardian, it is his birthright and responsibility to guard the Master Emerald which keeps the island afloat. Numerous times Dr. Robotnik and other miscreants have tried to misappropriate the Master Emerald. On occasion Knuckles has received assistance from Sonic The Hedgehog in twarting these theft attempts.
