Review Yotsuba& volumes 1-3Written by WarpshadowRating very good/ excellent

The term slice of life is often a by word for boring among many people but Yotsuba& proves that it doesn't have to be that way and slice of life has it's great works just like any genre.

Yotsuba is moving to a new house with her dad. All we know is that she came from left, according to her. Although she is just a young girl with no knowledge of her new home or just about anything else she has a bottomless well of curiosity and the ability to find happiness in just about anything. And so she begins living in a new house and having adventures with her father and her new neighbors.

Yotsuba& is a very cute slice of life comedy. While the word cute is thrown about quite a bit in anime and manga Yotsuba& pulls it of without being forced or cloying in the vaguest sense of the word. The comedy is also easy going and unforced which gives the manga a consistent style and mood. It is also extremely funny not only because it has a impeccable sense of what is funny but also because it covers different territory than most anime and manga comedy. This is a manga that I honestly recommend to just about anybody.
