Review Midori's Days AKA Midori no hibi Written by Warpshadow Rating very good

While some people may be either weirded out or attracted by the show's strange premise underneath it is a solid comedy.

Seiji Sawamura is a high school student with a reputation for fighting. This has an unintended consequence as this makes most people fear him especially girls. In fact Seiji can't get a girlfriend no matter how hard he tries. There is one girl who likes Seiji though. Her name is Midori and she just can't get the courage to tell him how she feels. One may for no apparent reason, Midori suddenly appears as Seiji's right hand. Now that is one way to start a relationship.

Midori's Days is a romantic comedy and a very good one at that. It also has it's moments of sexuality but fortunately the show uses it for what it is. The most important thing I felt about the show's quality is that while it had a premise the humor never got stale (they never overused gags either). I usually find anime girls as cheerful and romantically obsessed as Midori is to be something of a turnoff but I find it works in her case as most people would be very upset if they were faced with her predicament, but Midori just fits with the situation. Perhaps the only thing I truly dislike about the show is that at least from people that have read the manga there is a lot that is left out.
