Anime Review: Memories off 2nd

Isn't it nice when an anime show based off of a dating sim realizes that trying to cram every plot line that the game is capable of into the show, especially if it is an Oav? If you agree then you might like Memories off 2nd.

Ken is a high school student with a cute girlfriend named Hotaru. Hotaru loves Ken and wants to spend all of her time with him, even staying overnight with him. His teacher thinks this is a bad idea and that it distracts from his studies. So under advice he starts to blow her off. At the same time he meets another girl in the rain and lends her his umbrella. He finds out that she Tomoe and she is Hotaru's best friend. One night Ken finds Tomoe speaking to herself in what sounds like a confession of her love for him.

Memories off 2nd is a three part Oav based on a video game. There is also another Memories off Oav. While I haven't seen all of it, I can certainly say this is both completely different and a good deal better than the other one. I have found it to be a decent show but generally unremarkable. The story is simple but is solid as it focuses on one plot instead of trying to cover all the possibilities of the game in a limited time frame.
