Review Naruto Written by Warpshadow Rating very good/ excellent

If you have been around the Internet recently you may have heard of the latest big show, Naruto. From the looks of it, it looks like a Dragon ball Z type of show with all the high powered fighting. In terms of quality Dragon ball can barely hold candle to Naruto.

In the ninja village of Kohona there lives an orphan by the name of Naruto. He is despised by the villagers because unknown to him, he carries the spirit of a fox that terrorized the village locked inside him. Because of this Naruto takes his frustrations out in the form of pranks. Naruto has a big dream though, he wants to become the hokage, the strongest and most respected ninja of the village. With a bit of luck and a new technique called the Kage Bushin (shadow clones) he passes the ninja academy exams. However Naruto still has a long way to go before he can realize his dream.

Naruto is one of the best shonen adventure shows I have ever seen. The show for me is very similar to Ruroni Kenshin not only is quality but that both shows are great for the same reasons. Namely this means that Naruto balances high quality fights with a memorable cast of characters. The main character, Naruto, is the spunky never say die type. His character is done very well since even though that type isn't usually my favorite type of character the little guy ended up winning my heart. The size of cast explodes in episode 20 with the chunnin exams but it is handled well and in time the new additions become almost as beloved as the main characters.
