Sometimes action movies can be the easiest kind of movies to watch. While plot and characters are always good sometimes all you need are a few decent fight scenes and life is all right. That kind of feeling is what shows like Fatal Fury 2 are made for.

After the defeat of Howard Geese Terry Bogard is the strongest fighter, that is until he runs into a man by the name of Wolfgang Krauser. With inhuman strength Krauser defeats Terry. Terry is a broken man, not only in body but in spirit as well and turns to drinking. When they learn of this Andy and Joe vow to defeat Krauser themselves. What may really bring salvation is Tony, a young kid who is fan of Terry who still believes in him even after his defeat.

After watching the stink pile that was the first Fatal Fury Oav I am pleasantly suprised after watching this one. While it still isn't all that great It tries to be a simple action movie and succeeds this time. A good deal of this is due to the improved animation. Also the story is somewhat simplified but still fits the movie. One of the additions to the cast, Mai, adds a bit of fan service to the show but fortunately it isn't overdone. I consider this a fun action movie great for rentals and popcorn munching.
