Review Maze the megaburst space Written by Warpshadow Rating fair/good

There is a good reason that many shows try their best to stick to a genre. Sometimes if you try to cover many things in one show the end result is that none of them work out all that well.

Everything starts when a girl named Maze lands in a fantasy world. Other than her name she has no memory at all. She runs across Mil Varna who is the princess of Bartonia, well at least she was until the Jaina holy group launched a coup. The two are now hunted and have only Maze's newfound magic skills and the Mecha that Mil can summon to defend themselves. Also when day turns into night the female Maze becomes man Maze, a violent and perverted man.

Maze the megaburst space is a by the numbers romantic comedy thrown on top of a fantasy adventure story. The result is that the show is a convoluted mess. The romance side of the story heavily hampered by the fact that one of the main characters is an annoying attention whore (Mil) and so the rest of the cast isn't as well developed as they should be. The plot meanders from idea to idea with only a poor attempt an overall arch. The animation is also bad, some people might just call it old but I have seen several shows older than this that looked better. Overall this show was too ambitious for it's own good and suffered as a result.
