Review Loveless Written by Warpshadow Rating good/ very good

While a veteran anime fan learns that most shows often end inconclusively it still can be annoying to see loose threads. Loveless is especially bad in this department as an otherwise great show is cut off long before coming to it's climax.

Ritsuka was a confused boy as his brother Seimei recently died and his mother says that he is not her son. One day a man named Soubi visits Ritsuka saying that he was very close to Seimei before he died and that Seimei's last order was to obey Ritsuka. Soubi says that he loves Ritsuka although Ritsuka doesn't know what to make of it. One thing that is obvious is that Soubi is not a virgin since he has lost his cat ears. There is a lot to Soubi that Ritsuka doesn't know and Soubi won't tell him everything but he is Ritsuka's only lead to the truth.

Loveless has the potential to be a great anime series. The element of confusion in Ritsuka's character makes his actions and relationship with Soubi more interesting than most Shonen ai anime I have seen. I say this show has potential because despite having seen all of the episodes the show ends very inconclusively. Given the fact that is recent there is still hope for a second season. Even without it there is still a good deal of enjoyable material in Loveless. If this show pays off I would recommend this even more.
