Review Maria sama Miteru Haru (spring) Written by Warpshadow Rating very good

A new season to a show is an occasion for both gladness and aprehension. While it is always good to see more episodes of a show you like there is always the possibility that said show has jumped the shark or otherwise made a turn for the worse. If you like Marimite, this shouldn't be a problem since the second season is still the same old show.

It has been a few months since Yumi met Sachiko underneath the statue of the virgin Mary at Lillian girl's school. Spring has come and the third year students are going to graduate. Much ado is made about the ceremony and the fact that the roses of the Yamayurikai are going to leave the school to leave the second year students in charge. But even as old friends go away there are also new students that will join the school and have the opportunity to take part in the traditions of the rose mansion.

The second season of Maria sam Miteru is much the same as the first. The biggest plus to watching the second season is that some of the characters that were not well developed get some more screen time. The biggest negative is that one of new characters can be a bit annoying. There is also more a climax at the end although it is still the same Marimite show. In short if you liked the first thirteen episodes you might as well watch this batch too.
