Review Inu Yasha, Swords of an honorable ruler Written by Warpshadow Rating very good

If there is one thing that some fans of Inu Yasha would complain about in the first two movies it is the lack of Seshomaru. Fans of "Sesshy" as some fans call him will be pleased by this movie. Other fans should like the movie as well.

Although it is well known that Inu Yasha and Seshomaru's father was the genesis of the two magical swords that they wield he also had a third sword, the Souunga. One day it appears by chance in the Higurashi shrine and comes to life. Inu Yasha is visiting Kagome in the modern world that day so they both notice the event. When Inu Yasha takes hold of the sword he finds that it is a sword of both great power and terrible evil and only by force of will is kept from killing Kagome with the blade.

Movies based off of television shows tend to be long episodes. What separates a good movie of this type from the average ones is if the episode is filler or an important episode. In this case it is an important episode as new details on the past of Inu Yasha are revealed. The plot largely consists of Inu Yasha and company stopping the destructive rampages of a monster (in this case a sword). If you aren't up for that kind of movie you probably aren't an Inu Yasha fan in the first place.
